The Run will begin & end at Snowbirds Brewery in Andrews starting at 11am (Cars) & 11:30am (Cycles). Post ride Live Music, Food, Drinks & Entertainment.
Wells for Nora Fundraising T-Shirts
What is the Wells For Nora? The "Wells for Nora" project continues to help communities in need of access to clean water through installation or repairs for water wells. Rotary Club of Murphy, NC has donated $10,000 for the project. Those funds have provided one new well in Liberia, and repaired 55 existing wells in Haiti and Africa. Each of those wells provides water to about 500 people, meaning we have assisted 30,000 people to obtain clean, fresh water. A new well costs $5000, and repair costs vary. We have dedicated our efforts to the memory of Murphy teenager, Nora Starks.
Rotary Club of Murphy, NC along with Rotarian Gio Castiglione, owner of Prontees, love these uniquely designed shirts. Funds from the sale of these shirts help support this cause. We have dedicated our efforts to the memory of Miss Nora Starks, a teenager who resided in Cherokee County. Her vision of providing clean water to individuals in need is being supported through this campaign.
