The Rotary Club of Murphy launched their annual Rotary Reads project today. Nineteen members of the club visited 36 classrooms to read to the students in Pre K to 2nd grade in the areas local elementary schools. The books were purchased by the Rotary Club and donated to the teacher of each classroom.
The project runs from October to April, and Rotary members greatly appreciate the opportunity to support our students, teachers, schools and community as they contribute their time to encourage the younger students to enjoy reading, …and spend time sharing life lessons based upon the books they were read.
Kids and Rotarian's had a great time!
